This time of year makes us stop and think
Where would we be without;
God sending his own Son to keep us from the brink
So together "Let us Shout"

Praise be the Lord in Heaven is what we say
Singing from the very top;
Let us go down on our knees and forever pray
May our prayers never stop.

Easter comes but once a year
But when it does, we all know its here
Children filling themselves with chocolate
Dad's down the pub for a pint of beer!

We go to the church for the wine and bread
Dad's half asleep, and jerking his head
Baby sister is here too, munching away
On the free Easter egg that the Priest gave us today

But remember we must, that the Lord died for us
And ascended into heaven to give us fresh lives
For each and every one of us.

Happy Easter to a good egg...
A little cracked, maybe
but still a good egg!

Sunshine and daffodils with bluebells in the valley
And a freshness in the air;
God sent his son Jesus to buy back our lives
So that we don't have a care!

He rode in on a donkey with palms upon the road
With humility but still serene;
His fantastic miracles and morals in his stories
The very best human we have ever seen.
